I somehow never noticed this until today, but I have about 54% backgrounds required for Chapter 1 done. Progress has been slower than I'd prefer, but BGs can be very time consuming and painful to draw (my hand hurts as I type this). I doubt I'll finish them by the end of the month, but I'll try to pick up the pace as much as I can.
